Hydration
Dry air and altitude increase fluid loss. Add electrolytes rather than volume alone.

Wellness
A more intelligent way to arrive, recover and enjoy every day in the mountains.
Educational information only — not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Altitude affects people differently; consult a healthcare professional about your own health.
Seek immediate professional medical assistance for confusion, fainting, chest pain, severe shortness of breath, inability to walk, blue lips, severe weakness or worsening neurological symptoms.

Arriving at altitude
East Village sits high. Pacing the arrival is what makes the rest of the week work.
01 · Before arrival
Increase water in the two days before you fly, plan a lighter first evening and book arrival for early afternoon where possible.
02 · First 24 hours
Hydrate steadily, keep alcohol minimal, eat earlier than usual and treat the first day as an easy day rather than a full ski day.
03 · First 48 hours
Most people feel altitude most on the second night. Prioritise sleep, keep caffeine early and let intensity build gradually.
04 · Day three and beyond
By the third day the body has usually adapted. This is when long days ski best — and when a spa afternoon pays for itself.
Recovering after snow
Dry air and altitude increase fluid loss. Add electrolytes rather than volume alone.
Ten minutes of hips, ankles and thoracic rotation before the first chair does more than a long stretch after.
Sauna or hot tub after skiing for gentle circulation and a calmer evening.
Brief cold exposure for legs after heavy days — short, comfortable, never forced.
Protein at lunch, not only at dinner. Mountain days under-fuel more often than they over-fuel.
Sleep is the whole recovery programme. Cool rooms, earlier dinners, screens away at altitude.
